2017 Buick Encore Tail Light Repair

Hi friends,
So rookie question... I backed my mom's minivan into my 2017 Buick encore and now need the left tail light replaced. I'm planning on buying the part on ebay but don't really have a lot of experience reinstalling it. Would anyone be able to help out / share a link for a tutorial for this? I've tried looking on youtube but it's mostly for different models. Would be awesome if anyone can help!

Too new to know for sure except brace yourself for how much just a lens/assembly is going to cost! Too new for a dup/hacked one - strong bet.
Is it just the light and or assembly and does it light up properly now? If it still lights the lights run, don't walk and places like an Autozone should have clear tape, red see thru and amber a maybe even at a Wally-World? Seal it till you get the part.
If you can't tell if this is lens on an assembly just ask a tech (I know you're here for that) if two or how many parts it is and hunt it down.
A maybe on the used market just plain call a used auto parts salvage yard with VIN# ready many can do a very wide search for stuff like that,

The way you talk it sounds like you already found one on E-bay. That would be very surprising.
There may be 3 or 4 nuts on the back holding it in. You may have to remove some trim behind it.
Sometimes there are 2 screws going in from the side at the hatch opening and it will be snapped in on the other side so you would remove the 2 screws and then pull on the light to remove it.

The light still works, it's only the outside that is damaged! That's what I'm going to replace

That is an LED light. Is that what you have on the other side?

Would you mind clarifying what you mean by what I have on the other side?
If you mean on the right side, then yup, same LED light.

Yes, that's what i meant. LED lights operate differently than incandescent lights.

Ok thanks hammer!
Two other things:
1. body paint - there's some small scratches outside that I would like to repaint. Do you have any recommendations on where I should buy to make sure it's the right shade of color?
I'm following a couple youtube tutorials but might as well ask here.
2. Does this part seem like the right part for the picture below?
