1. My gf is thinking about buying a 96' Jetta with 95k miles. The only thing wrong with it is the reverse. Volkswagons you push the shifter down then to where 1st gear is to go in reverse. This one does not stay in reverse unless you hold it there and it makes a funky noise when reversing. Sound like transmission problems? and can it lead to worse problems? 2. My car, 94'
Accord 175k miles. Makes a popping noise when taking off in first gear.
Sound is coming from the front. Any ideas?

1) unless you are mechanically inclined and/or this car's is the deal of a life time, i would stay away from buying a car that has obvious troubles with the trans. 2) try to be a little more descriptive as to when you hear the popping noise from the front. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
