I have an 02 GMC Pick Up it is a 5.3 liter Automatic Trans, Extended Cab, Short Bed, 4X4. I have a K&N Air induction and Gibson cat back dual exhaust. The truck has 95000 MI on it. My problem is that my engine surges when trying to maintain a steady speed in the range between about 45 to 70 MPH. It seams to do it more in hot weather, and it doesn't seam to do it if I'm pushing it hard 75+ MPH Just a note all sensors and fuel pump are original equipment. Any thoughts on what to look at?

Reading the fuel pressure during a test drive would be the first thing I looked at. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
