88 Reliant fuel line

To start I'd like to give a big thanks to Tom G and everyone else on this sight, it has been much help. This is what community is about. I teach a high school Special Ed class with LD students who happen to be very resourceful and hands on proficient. This forum is becoming very important to them as a source of information. Now for their newest problem: There is a fuel line leak in a students 88 Plymouth Reliant, is it pressurized it leaks only when running? Can it be spliced or does the whole line need to be replaced?
How difficult is it for a DIYer. How would one go about it? Thanks again.

I'm beginning to see stuff for sale for fuel line fixes. If a line needs to be cut, I totally recommend parts or hose that can handle the pressures. If makeshift - check on any legal repairs. I like to use TWO full circle clamps at each end of a repair Clamps cost more but I put safety first when it comes to fuel.
I can't see your orig post as I respond but I think you said you were teaching. More power to you. Tell students of this site and any other you see fit as they are great learning tools.
Note: This site has a remarkable record as being a "G" rated site with near no bad language which is NOT part of a site like this. I can moderate here and change words or delete a nasty post, and greatfully haven't needed to.
