Have you recently replaced the battery? I ask this beacuse the 2.8 is notorious for stalling and rough idle after replacing the battery, unless idle learn has been performed. If in fact you have not replaced the battery then the first place to start is getting a DTC or trouble code out of your ECM so that I can give you a daignostic flow chart to what issues you may or may not be having. The issue can be an 02 sensor, an issue with the EGR, an issue with the Mass air flow sensor, or the IAC the idal air control sensor,.,... too many things to gues, let us get a good starting point and go from there. The basics always come down to fuel, fire and air. But we know it starts and runs, it is the quality of the performance that we now need to get more information as to what engine control is seeing a problem upon going into closed loop. please let me know what code is present and we can from a plan of diagnosis.
