93 Cutlass Ciera Won't Turn Over

Vehicle is a 1993 Old's Cutlass Ciera V6, my wife drove the car to work this morning and when she went out on her lunch break the car would not turn over. The battery connections seem to be good, I get lights and radio when the key is in the "on" position. When I try to start the car it sounds fine, it cranks, it just doesn't start up. I'm not mechanically savvy so please when making explanations use small words and if possible pictures  I will try to provide any further information that I can. Thanks!

Changed you subject line as "turn over" is confusing.
You need to check for spark and fuel.
Fuel you should hear a buzz for a few seconds with key just put to the run position.
Spark is best done with an in line spark tester or perhaps a separate spare spark plug grounded at the threads would show spark.
How many miles on this and what engine?
