94 Intrepid 3.5 ES Pre-cat Exhaust Question

On the intrepid there are 3cats. 2 pre-cats( coming off exhaust manifoilds) and a main cat. With a better main cat would i be able to lose the 2 pre-cats? In Ont Canada

DanD will certainly be by for this as he is from Canada and would know the legalities about this better than I could from the states. Something to think about though. If the manufacurer could have made that car cheaper or better and meeting the requirements of the province than they would have. There is the question of how it could effect O2 sensors, alter the fire hazzard of the exhaust, and the correct back pressure for the engine that could adversely effect the car's overall performance. It isn't like when the initial converters were used and blanks and all sorts of stuff was available to alter cars when used but couldn't be sold new even then if they didn't comply.
