My 4cyl protoge has 168000 miles and i have had an overheating problem with it for a while now. 4 months ago i put a new thermostat in, 2 months ago, new water pump, about a week ago it overheated bad, putting a small crack in the radiator. the radiator crack was fixed, so i moved onto the coolant fans which i decided have probably never turned on. I checked all my fuses, all were fine, so i decided it was probably a faulty coolant fan relay. I replaced the part, let the engine get hot, and no fans, the engine overheated, and still no fans, i have no idea what the problem is, i would greatly appreciate some help on this.

Well the 1st place to start would be to see if the fans themselves are good. You can see if turninng the a/c on get's them to come on. If they're easy to get to, try running 12v to them to see if the will manually come on. If you are unsure of the wiring, taking them off and running a seperate power & ground wire would be a good idea.... If the fans are good then it's going to be time to trouble shoot the cooling fan ciruit, could be a temp sensor, relay, power source issue, ground issue.... but 1st things 1st........
