My ignition switch broke today and the car would not turn off. We finally got the car off but do not know how to fix the problem. I went to start the car and it started but the key did not return back and then it would just move but would not turn off. If I turned the key forward and pushed the battery and air bag light would come on as if I had just turned the key part way. We think it may be a rod but are not sure. This is our main car and need it fixed as soon as possible. Can you help. Thank you in advance.

Click here for some information on your problem. There is more information on the site also. It could be as simple as the switch needs adjusting. If that is the case, loosen the 2 mounting bolts a little and move switch to see if it helps you. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
