'95 Taurus emergency trunk release button Sign In

My '95 Taurus has a locking mechanism for the trunk by the driver side door so you can lock your trunk from the inside. When I bought the car there was no key for it. Now the locking mechanism accidentally got pushed and I can't get in to my trunk. Since that happened, I find that I have a flat - spare's in the trunk!!

A local Ford dealership said there is a button on the dashboard to push if this ever happens. We can't find it. Does any one know where this button is located? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you may try looking into the glove box for a trunk release button.

With your VIN# and proof that you own the car, you might be able to get a key made from a Ford Dealer. Check owner's manual if the #s for the key were written in it as they can make a key from #s. Good luck,

Your ignition key withh unlock this switch! It is hard to put key in and turn it so you will need to use some force but it should work! I also have a 1995 taurus!
