96 caravan starts but stalls right away

I have a 96 dodge grand caravan with a 3.3L V-6 that has 184000 miles on it. I went to start it yesterday and it started then immediatly stalled. I tried it again without turning the key off and it just cranked without firing. I then turned the key off and it fired then stalled. I also noticed none of the gauges moved such as the fuel, oil nor the temp gauge moved at all, but the check engine light as well as the others that come on when the key is turned all came on. I was not having any issues leading up to this, but had the fuel pump replaced a few months ago. Any help you can give me would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Patch

wow only 18K on a 96? If you hold the throttle open 1/4 way, will the engine stay running? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Sorry I missed a 0,184,000. I tried to hold the pedal 1/4 way down and even all the way down and the throttle responds but will not stay running any longer.

If you could get hold of a fuel pressure gauge, you could see what the fuel pressure is while it does the start stall thing. There is port on the fuel injector rail that you can screw the gauge into. The pressure should be around 50 psi. The fuel pressure should also hold when the fuel pump isn't running. I am not sure. I don't have a code reader.I was considering getting a cheap one. Do you have a recommendation an inexpesive code reader?

This one you can actually retrieve trouble codes from the ECM by cycling the ignition key on-off-on-off- on. The ECM will flash the codes using the check engine lamp. They are two digit codes. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Thank you. I will give this a try and find out if there are any codes stored as soon as I can.
