Hey guys... I have a 97 infiniti j30 and i have to keep turning the key back and forth in the switch and the car will only start occasionally. I have replaced the starter in it. I have no idea where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Get your battery tested. Clean the connections shiny and coat in dielectric grease. Do the same thing where the wires for power and ground end up on the engine block and the starter motor. If the connections have been confirmed good and battery tested good it's time to check for power to the small trigger wire on the starter solenoid. If that passes the test you'll be doing voltage drop tests on the power and ground circuits.

Start with cleaning the connections and having the battery load tested first. Most parts stores will do the testing for free.
