1997 Honda Civic 125k miles I recently slid out of control on a turn and jumped the curb, deploying the driver and passenger airbags. The damage was minor and repairable. I have since fixed the problems with the suspension, but it leaves me with only the airbags. I have purchased the airbags already and have installed them, but I have not plugged them in yet fearing they would redeploy once I did. I was wondering how I can delete the crash data from the SRS computer and whether the video below would only clear the light or the SRS data as well. If not, how can I reset the computer? I do not have the money to take it to a honda dealership because I do not have a job at the moment, but I need this car for school and for job interviews. Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7Wlvoz-JjY

You can't delete the data from the SRS controller. Anytime a deployment occurs the SRS controller has to be replaced. Don't use one out of another vehicle. If your not sure what your doing, you should take it to a shop that does air bag system repair. Where did you get the air bags from? Don't use them if they are out of another vehicle. All parts have to be new. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
