I have a 97 eclipse gs automatic. I just purchased the car the other day. Anyways on the drivers side front. Whenever i go over bumps, make a left turn, tap the gas i can hear a clunking sound also i can feel it through the floorboard. Ive checked everything to the best of my knowledge asfar as suspension goes. Everything seems tight. No lose parts that i can tell. It also pulls to the left when driving. I know its not the cv because that is brand new. I have been trying to find something on line about it but really javent found anything. I have been told that it could be a few different things. I was also told that if it does it when i hit the gas its more then likely a trans mount or motor mount. I want to drive the car but idk if i should like i said asfar as suspension goes everything seems ok. Does anybody have similar probs or know what i should do

Your going over the bumps and causing the car to turn that way is called Bump Steer usually caused by bent part lower or upper control arm/strut.. It may be hard to spot a bent part w/o a alignment machine. Best bet is to take your car to place that specializes in alignments and make sure to tell them about pulling and bump steer so they can properly diagnose it. They will also check over the complete suspension for you in case there is a bushing out or loose components and etc..
