hi i have trouble code for my nissan quest,97....went to autozone and retreived codes...came back as knock sensor and #3 cylinder misfire, checked plug wire and it does well...knock sensor seems difficult to replace becouse you have to remove intake..any other ideas i can check before undergoing expensive ks replacement?maybe try new wire or plug for #3 cylender?WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU unplugged ks?could misfire in #3 cylinder cause ks to give code?any help is great, thanx

not luvmyquest rightnow; Yes, I'd concentrate on the misfire, first. And, no, don't disconnect the KS. Several things, among many, come to mind: spark plug, wire, coil, injector, compression, ect., ect. Loren SW Washington

Fix the miss fire problem first. A engine miss can cause a knock sensor code when it may not be bad. Jeff
