My 99 Dodge Dakota will idle when started... But when i drive and come to a stop Down shift from 2nd to neuatrul it does not idle and dies... It will start back up but i'm thinking one day it won't... It runs rough under a 1/4 tank but have been puttin gumout in gas tank and power is back... Some people have told me fuel filter is what I should start with??? Also all of the sudden the ABS and parking brake lights are on and the check engine light, and the spedometer has died if you are going under 30 mph??? This has all happened in less than 2 weeks!! If anybody could help me i would greatly appreciate it..

To start, take the vehicle to autozone and let them run a diagnostic scan on the computer....that will give you some clue of whats going on.

YOU HAVE 3 DIFFERENT PROBLEMS THE IDLE PROBLEM IS THE AIS MOTOR IT WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED OR REPLACED TO SOLVE THE IDLE PROBLEM. RUNS ROUGHT UNDER 1/4 TANK IS BECAUSE THE FILER ON PUMP MODULE IN FUEL TANK IS PLUGED IT HAS A BYPASS TUBE THATWHEN VEHICLE IS LOW ON FUEL BY PASS FILTER AND RETURNS FUEL TO THE TANK.YOU HAVE TO REPLACE FILTER TO FIX THE PROBLEM. SPEEDOMETER PROBLEM IS A BAD SPEED SENSOR. IF YOU HAVE VEHICLE SCANNED THE ONLY CODE THAT WILL COME UP WILL BE FOR THE SPEED SENSOR .
