The first thing you want to check are your battery terminals. Pry them out of the rubber boots and take a wire brush to them. All it takes is a little bit of corrosion to cause problems. Be sure to do the same to the battery. See if that does anything and post back.

Just how did you check the clutch switch? A test light best IMO and watch one side light with clutch up and other side light when clutch depressed. When turning key "start" position do lights light just for that moment? That's checking the bulbs work. If those check out than ign should be good that far. That allow power to trigger wire at starter motor and those connections need be good too. Follow the power even if battery isn't strong enough the power however slight if so should still carry on. As MG said do pay periodic attention to especially the side post battery terminals. Nice if you can grease those with dialectic grease or at least some WD 40 on them. They hide under the rubber and can be a mess that you can't see. Connections at starter and the ground cable to engine also important but with any lights working it should still send power to the starter which can be checked with the test light. If that lights and zero noise from starter, a starter solenoid problem may exist which means new starter for most people. WARNING! If you test for power with a competent helper turning key, with clutch pushed in DO NO STAND IN FRONT OF THE CAR! If some failure happened car could take off and best if you are not in front of it..... T
