I don't have much experience with cars so I'm hoping someone here can help me! My 93 Acura sounds like it tries to start but it just wont turn over. The battery is fine, spark plugs are new and I think the fuel filter is newer as well. I usually only have this problem when its hot outside but when that's the case I can open the gas cap, let the vapor out and it'll start up. When I start it up I also have to press the gas down with the clutch right away otherwise it wont start and I have to wait like 15 minutes before trying again. Any ideas of what it could be?

The Phrase "Turn Over"

Maybe it's me but that is the most confusing way to describe a problem. What do you really mean? The car doesn't start? Or is it the starter doesn't turn the engine? How could anyone guess at that so lose that as a phrase. "Turnover" is a fooooooood! Please stop using it when talking about your car unless your car is upside down in a ditch! That would be a turnover, Have a great day, T

Your problem may relate to the one my son had with his Accura. There is a small electronics item behind the distributor called the IGNITER that induces spark into the distributor. Its not much larger than a book of matches. During hot days and hot-under-the hood days this would stop the car stone cold dead and it would not start until it cooled down. A simple replacement and no further problems

I should apologize for my post on that. Please accept. We all have to translate a problem and I know damn well it's not that easy. Merry Christmas to all, T

Sounds like it's the main relay switch located under the dash nead steering wheel
