Alternator Failed, 2002 Monter Sport Sign In

Hello, I have a 2002 Mitshubishe Montero Sport with a 3.0 engine. Problem is that the battery died so I checked output voltage from alternator and it was zero. So I installed a rebuilt one
started up engine, first checked batt. voltage and it was 12.7 on a new Battery. After starting
engine I was reading 12.9vdc and when giving it gas the voltage went up to 13.2vdc so that tells me that the alternator was working. Then after afew min. I was not getting anything out
but Batt. voltage. Battery light and brake light indicators are on on the dash. So do I have just a bad rebuilt alternator or something else going on electrical. Any help would be great.

If you put a rebuilt alt on then yes the odds are better you could've just got a bad one. The easiest fix would be to get that one warrantied & try again.. 2 in a row & I would be looking at the involved circuits & doing some voltage drop tests, finding out what high amp circuits have diodes in them & checking the diodes..........
