Anyone get screwed by CarJunky.com??? Sign In

I purchased an advance for the distributor for my Porsche 911. I bought it August 25, 2005 and still don't have it. The tracking #states it is stuck in Jacksonville because of the storm. I am not in a storm area. I have tried numerous times to contact Carjunky by phone and e-mail without a response. Is Carjunky a legitimate company or have I been ripped off!!!?????

They don't seem to give a damn after they get your money. Be careful what you buy!!

Ron, First off you stated that the Tracking number states that your part is stuck in Jacksonville due to the storm. There is nothing Carjunky.com can do about a UPS not shipping due to a HURRICANE. If you don't remember Hurricane Katrina hit Early September. And Now Rita, is right off the coast.

Please post the tracking number so we could see the location of the part as well or private message me with it.

Also you didn't seem to understand that you aren't in the storm area but Jacksonville, FL Is. And this will cause a delay.

Just for info what state are you in?

It is nice to finally reach a live one. The calls directly to your company were met with "we are no longer taking calls , please e-mail us". I e-mail and get no reply's. This is why I posted this thread. I have been without a car for the past 3 weeks and this has left a bad taste in my mouth. This is the first time I buy from your company and I don't know who you are or if you are reliable or not. I contacted UPS and they tell me I need to know where the item was shipped from. With no replies from I cannot even file a claim for a lost item. I can tell you that your service and support for items you sell is very suspect. I can afford to lose the $60 for this part but would like to resolve this matter because I need my car. Are you intertested in resolving this matter??

If you are interested call me direct at (337) 280-2550.

Thanks,

Ron

I replied to the Post, but not surprisingly, no response.

I thought for a moment that someone was going to try and rectify this matter. Maybe , I was wrong.

Ron,

First off where is your tracking number? It takes a little while to look through the orders to see where.

In addition Ron. You posted that you where not in a Storm area. But last time I checked Lake Charles and Lafayette in Louisiana are in BOTH Hurricane storm areas and they are being run under FEMA.

337 LA -6 SW Louisiana: Lake Charles, Lafayette (rons area code show up as Lake Charles, Lafayette Louisiana)
http://www.bennetyee.org/ucsd-pages/area.html (337) 280-2550

So I need your tracking info and you should see Whom is shipping your pacakage and find out that they might not be shipping to your area since they may not know anyone is there Or a path from Jacksonville, FL to Lake Charles, Lafayette Louisiana may still be blocked.

Re: Anyone get screwed by CarJunky.com??? Sign In

Tom,

Thanks for your reply, but still no resolution. I did speak to someone yesterday who suggested I buy another part, pay shipping and see what happens to the other part. I am upset about this. They certainly took my money, know by the tracking that I don't have the part, realize that the part is going back to their wharehouse, and won't give my money back or offer any solutions. My car is still down and I getting more upset each day. So my first feeling about the company is the same. They are not a responsible company and their customer service sucks. There are other forums like the Porshe forum, Renquest, Mercedes forum and many others that I can start asking how carjunky treats their customers. If it takes this to get what is due me I will. You state that his is a good company and responsible. In this case I don't see it. If they are willing to get a lot of negative press for a $ 60 part , so be it.

Ron,

I mentioned this to someone in the sales department.

I'm still waiting to see what your tracking number is.... without it I don't know where your part is. In Addition, you are in a unique position since you do live in the STORM area. Given from the area code you supplied.

If the case is true that the part is being returned to the warehouse, your credit card would be credited with your purchase amount, but not until they get the part back.

I understand your feelings toward this, but unless your some type of higher power we can't control hurricanes (well yet)

If you still feel you need to bash this site, at least post the tracking information so people can see your not telling stories, or send it to me carjunky via the private message feature.
