We don't have that vehicle here in the states, so don't know exactly how the hood release system works. On most vehicles the lever is connected to a steel cable. The cable runs to the front of the vehicle and connects to the bonnet latch. You might be able to pull on the cable with a pair of pliers where it connects to the lever to get the latch to release. If that doesn't work, you'll have to get to the cable through the grill. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

There was time I had to put our van on a trailer when it broke down and forgot the keys. I was able to take off the front grill in order to get to the hood latch bolts. I know this won't work on all vehicles but it's worth checking.

All suggestion valid and might be the way. Car not sold here barely matters as ones that are all different. It wasn't meant to be too easy. Whatever works. Sometimes up from under with a real long screwdriver. If it's really giving you fits auto body repair places might be your best bet for assorted tools. Do yourself a favor when new one is in - lube the cable and latch routinely. Where I am some latches with salts used to de-ice roads really get things rusty or wash out lube on stuff like that and cables would just snap and latch so messed up tricks don't work well either. It's a real problem, T
