Brake Inspection Sign In

Hi I just had my car inspected and it passed fine. I was looking at the form they gave me and was wondering what this ment:

Brakes:

LF - 1HB / 32
RF - 1HB / 32
LR - 4R / 32
RR - 4R / 32

R - Rivet
B - Bonded

I was hoping somebody could explain to me what that ment. I know its somthing to do with how much of the brake pad / shoe is left.

By the way for the Left & Right Front it might be 11TB i can't really tell its a little messy writing.

Thanks

Re: Brake Inspection Sign In

I am guessing the front is 11/32 pad left and the pads are bonded. If you were down to 1/32 inch, it would not have passed inspection. Front paqds generally have about 13 to 14 32nd thicknedd new. Rear oads vary a lot by make and model, so do the brake shoes. Hope it helps you some.
