Brake problem Sign In

90 surb 2WD 350cc
My Driver side brake started smoking from dragging. I replaced all items( rotor, pads and caliber) on both sides. I noticed that when changing the Driver side caliber that the fluid flow from the brake line was just a drop or two every few seconds. The pass side was almost a constant flow. Something is not letting a good flow to the driver side.
Where do I start now?? I have the RWAL. I noticed last year that I had a Brake light blub on. I disconnected a wiring harness to the module and reconnected it and the light went off. I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem. Please help me resolve my problem.
Thanks

Re: Brake problem Sign In

Check thew hose to see if there is a restriction. See if you can force fluid back up to the master cylinder from the caliper.

Does sound like a restriction in the brake line itself. You could try replacing the brake line while you're that far into the job now and see if that helps. Something caused the whole problem in the first place...

Re: Brake problem Sign In

The common failure is the flex brake hose. I've never seen a damaged metal line let pressure thru but not release but the inside of the flex hose can make like a check valve. way2old's test would show that. If you bleed just that caliper for a second while it's tight (don't let air back in) it will release and spin normally then the brake hose is worth just tossing and do both sides if so is best,

Re: Brake problem Sign In

Thanks Guys.. It was the flex hose to the caliber. Was acting like a one way valve. New hose under 20 bucks and like new.
Thanks
