Broken something on my car???

Can anyone tell me what this piece is that is broken????Its on the driver front side... its a 97 grand am if that helps??

FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARM.


THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN THIS CONDITION!

That's pretty nasty - use care in even hoisting with that one! How much? Not as much as the accident it's GOING to cause!

Price out the part. You may find it's not so bad. Factor in an alignment with the fix also,

the car has alot of other issues...dont think it would be owrht fixin....

Part at autozone is $159.99 + tax.
May need to replace the stabilizer link as well.
Mounts to control arm and if worn may break upon removal.
Link kit for both sides is $10.99 + tax for heavy duty sport suspension.
Expect about a couple hours labor .Avg shop is approx. $90.-$100 an hour.
There will be a shop markup on the parts.
It will need an alignment when done..

Approx $80.00 for alignment.
It can get pricy..
Call around and get prices.

Come to think of it...that is SH!TTY!

What happened to cause this. Hard to say how much rust was an issue. If car runs worth a damn it's worth fixing just to get rid of it for another as it really wouldn't sell well like it is now,
