Buckled Alloy Wheel? Sign In

I went over a severe pothole in the road the other day in my Punto and it seems that my front right alloy has buckled ever so slightly. It isn't always that noticable but when looked at closely unfortunately you can see it. My question is is it dangerous to drive the car with it like this and will driving it cause any further damage to the car? Also if I buy a replacement alloy will I be able to take the tyre that is on the buckled alloy off and put it onto the new alloy?

Thanks

depending on the damage you could have a blowout but more than likely just a slow leak w tire pressure. unlike a steel rim you cant bend the rim back to shape so rim replacement will be necessary. you can switch the tire over but you need to make sure that the rims are the same size.
