Hi all- I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima with about 90K miles on it. I've been running into a problem when I hit a certain RPM range or speedometer range (I'm not sure which). My car starts jerking back and forth. If I take my foot off the accelerator, the jerking motion stops. If I press down on the accelerator (fairly soon after the jerking motion starts) then the jerking stops too. If I keep constant on the accelerator the jerking persists and eventually the accelerator stops working and I have to pull over to the side of the road and let it sit for a little bit. Any ideas?

josmoe; The first thing I'd check would be the fuel filter. Then, if that doesn't correct the problem, fuel pressure test. Loren SW Washington
