Car Not Starting on Hot Days Sign In

I have a 1998 Honda Accord 2-Door w/ 189,000 miles. On hot days, while I'm at work, my car sits in the surface lot w/ the windows and sunroof closed up. When I get to my car at the end of the day, my car won't start. It turns over and cranks as if it's going to start but doesn't. After 10-20 minutes of sitting there w/ the windows down and sunroof open, the car starts. Any other time, it starts w/out issue. What could be causing my car not to start on hot days? Vapor lock? Thought the car would be too new for that. Fuel pump? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Car Not Starting on Hot Days Sign In

One common problem with the Honda's doing this is the main relay.

Honda also has problems with the Ignition switches..they usually cause intermittent stalls ,but sometimes before the stalls occur, the switches cause starting problems.
There is a recall on ignition switches..

I think your problem is the main relay ...from what you describe
