Car bottoms out on driveway Sign In

My step-dad has a porshe and we just moved into a house where the driveway drops off into the street at a very steep angle and his car bottoms out when he backs it in or out. He's been using big pieces of wood, but I'm assuming there's gotta be some sort of ramp out there. Anyone know of something like this and where i can find it? THanks!

I dont know if he has tried it yet but going sideways up or down it works well.

If driveway is wide enough a high angle approach may work at the trouble spot. I've known folks to alter the driveway to solve this as if it happens to one car it will happen to some other's too,

Even at a steep angle it doesn't work.

They do sell ramps that would be rated for a light car - usually used for loading trucks. I'd fix the driveway if you own or make up something you can tolerate out of wood that will do,
