Car hesitating when starting it up Sign In

Hello,

I have a Lancer'08 that has been struggling to start up and idle during the mornings or when it's unused for a few hours (mostly when it's cold). Here's the overview of the car:

Mitsubishi
Lancer
ES - 2008
Engine 2.0 CVT
Mileage 110,000

When I start the car in the morning, it hesitates a lot to remain on a normal idle RPM, sometimes it rumbles and lowers the RPM to 0 and the engine turns off.

When I turn the switch to ON, I hear a strange consistent noise coming from the throttle body and when I start the car, it sounds like small electric shocks.

These are the things I've done to my car to try to solve this with no avail:

- I changed the Vapor Canister Valve with a new one
- I changed the MAF with a new one
- Changed the Throttle Body adapter to the Short Ram intake with a Silicone adapter
- Changed the Short Ram air intake filter
- The plastic intake manifold was also checked for leaks with my mechanic
- The throttle body was checked and cleaned by my mechanic

I did additional research myself and the car gives me a P0171 and I don't know what else to check. Here are some videos with the sounds if it helps:

I don't know what you used to check for vacuum leaks but you should have it smoke tested.
