Honda jazz 2005 Approx: 80,000ks Hi I have a Honda Jazz and it has been jolting/jumping/kangaroo jumping. It doesn't do it all the time but does it worse when it's hot all I have been driving a lot. It happens mostly when I slow down then take off and when accelerating. I have taken it into Honda twice and the first time they couldn't find anything and just did a service and the second time they replaced a coil that was corroded. Also on days when it has been doing it a lot it has lost all power and the engine light comes on. As I know nothing about cars I would really like some advice as I feel as a young women that my problem is not taken seriously and when I have been for test drives with the mechanics it hasn't done it.

Unfortunately thats an all to common problem, the car will not act up when it's in the shop. Then it makes it way harder to track down, been there & done that way too many times. Gender has no effect on whether a problem is taken seriously or not. In this case it's actually a good thing they aren't throwing a boat load of parts at the problem. It sounds like they what to "find" the cause so they can fix it. The frustrating thing for the customer is sometimes it may take a while if the car is failing when it's being looked at.... You mentioned your check engine light is coming on. If that is the case, there should've been a stored code. Try to get the code and post it. Also if you have any overdue maintenance or even some that is coming due, you may want to get that done. Sometimes doing routine maintenance can fix a tough to find problem......
