Car vent speed irregularities Sign In

I have a 2013 Chrysler 300 and I don't know how to pinpoint the issue that I'm having. The vent speed when on max A/C will sometimes decrease on it's own to about the lowest air speed possible and stay there for awhile before returning and then repeating the process, until it will either stay on the highest air speed or stay on the lowest speed.

Any help would be appreciated as even my father in-law that works on his own trucks and equipment doesn't know what the issue is.

Most likely an overheated connector causing a poor connection at either the blower motor or the blower motor resister.

So I need to check all the connections to see if it's receiving a poor connection at the motor or resistor? I was assuming it was something with the blower motor or resistor, but I wasn't sure what was happening. I have had a resistor go bad before, but it caused different issues in another vehicle where it was stuck on one speed.

The resister is not burned out. The contacts in the plug get hot and weaken the contact increasing resistance. With the blower turned on full speed, start pulling and pushing the connectors until you see the motor speed responds.
