Car will click once but wont start Sign In

I have a 2006 Dodge Durango 5.7L V8. With 98,000 miles
Three days ago, i went to start it and it started but then died after about 3-5 seconds. This happened about three times before it just refused to start at all. There was no other problems before this. I started by replacing the ignition switch, which did nothing. Then i used a piece of copper to bypass the start relay fuse and the engine started to crank but wouldnt start. The next day i bought a new starter and installed it and the results are the same. The battery has the correct amount of volts, and so does the battery. The battery terminals are clean. I have replaced all pertinent fuses.
Currently when i turn the key, ill hear one click coming from the starter but thats it. (On a possibly seperate note, my radio stopped working about a year ago and read "DC wiring offset" but with everything ive done, the radio works now)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just this much first Quote YOU >"Three days ago, i went to start it and it started but then died after about 3-5 seconds. This happened about three times before it just refused to start at all. There was no other problems before this.<"

No other problems and you added tons of assorted issues to what wasn't a problem - oh my! By-pass just what and who knows now what problems that caused?
Take the problem of now a single click starter alone. That's too much load (AMPS) for it to turn is almost always low power delivered battery, wiring right to it and don't forget ground(s) to return. Voltage is "fine" means what? Volts while it does the single click probably drops out totally find out where you had your problem now confused by messing with ignition switch, fuses have a radio again.

It plain started and ran but only a few seconds for a THREE times then you caused the problem now messing with it the way I read you. Quit that or back up to the first issue now isn't alone up to real damage IMO.

Start over. Battery(s) must be charged and load tested first to start over again you've played with power things enough to drain it/them (confused by your comment there) as voltage alone just sitting there means little,

You replaced the ignition switch or ignition lock? It sounds like you may have had an immobilizer problem to start with and if you changed to a different key, you have one for sure now.

Look around for a flashing security indicator when you try to start it.

Re: Car will click once but wont start Sign In

I changed the Ignition Switch. I still have the original ignition switch and it looks fine. I definitely have a solid red security light and reading about the immobilizer that definitely sounds like the issue. I only have one key, and my buddy got this car off some guy on craigslist so what do you think the eadiest way to fix this issue would be?

I realize that swapping out each piece of the startup system may not have been the best idea, but i dont work on cars and thats how ive learned to troubleshoot the equipment i work with. I wouldve like to taken it to a mech but i cant have a civillian tow truck come on the facility im on, so id have to push this truck about two miles to the front gate.

Thanks again for all your help

Ahhh yes, the dartboard method. That is a very expensive method that rarely works.

You have a problem with the immobilizer system and you need a professional scan tool capable of accessing that system to diagnose it.

You may have a failure and you may also need programming. Don't swap any parts or you definitely will need programming.
