Car will not start

I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and it will not start. I was told it may be the fuel filter because the gas was'nt getting where it was supposed to go. I got that changed and it still won't start. I was also told it may be the fuel filter or a coil? How much does a fuel filter normally run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A fuel filter generally won't cause a no start condition & if it's plugged up enough to cause a no start....Then budget in a fuel pump because it will be right behind due to the long term strain put on it by the bad fuel filter.... It doesn't sound like you are doing the work yourself so I'll just pass on this advise. Take it to someone who can tell you the reason it isn't starting & fix it. There are tests that can be preformed to pinpoint the problem area.... Every car has common pattern failures & if someone is just guessing they may get lucky. But if your problem isn't one of the common ones for your car, guessing can get real expensive. If you are doing the work, i apologize & someone here can give you a good flow chart to follow & find the problem.......
