I have a 1991 Silverado, and I am wondering the procedure for engaging the 4-wheel drive. Transmission is an automatic. Not sure if the main tranny goes in neutral or park while trying to engage transfer case (?) don't want to screw it up. Thanks ..

These can be shifted into 4WD HI while driving at slow speed. I've owned two and think it's best to come to a stop in neutral and I even shut the engine off if 4WD LO is needed. This can be all different with AWD or automatic 4WD where you do nothing. In my own if it is slow to engage just let it roll forward or reverse and servo seems to act faster, T
