Hi, I was driving my Citroen C3 2010 earlier and it wouldn't go above 10mlh, despite me accelerating. After stopping and leaving it for 30 mins, it worked fine again. I'd had my car cleaned inside in the morning and am questioning one of them hit the speed limit stalk on the left hand side of the wheel by accident. I spoke to Citroen who said to have a look if an orange engine symbol came up on the dashboard - but it didn't. I drove it around the block over 30mph and there was no problem. I need to go on motorway tomorrow and am very worried it may happen again. Has anyone got any advice? Thanks.

We don't have that vehicle here in the states, so can't really give you any service related information. Never seen a device on a vehicle called a speed limiter that is designed to keep the vehicle from going over 10 mph. If they cleaned the engine bay, that may have gotten water in a connector or electrical device causing your problem. Usually most fuel injected vehicles will display a warning indicator such as a check engine lamp if something is going on. Probably wouldn't hurt to have the vehicle scanned to see if there are any history code(s) related to your issue. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
