94 Honda Civic 5 spd LX 1.5L 145,xxx Hey guys, I'm brand new here, with a project car. I bought it yesterday, and on the way home had a tough time getting up to hwy speed. In general, it takes a lot longer than I'm used to, to GO, especially at 65mph, took forever to get to 75. I've had a civic before, but not one with the cold air intake/exhaust system. I didn't install these, and am not familiar. Could the exhaust be clogged? fuel pump/filter? It's not missing, all cylinders are firing. thanks for your input! -April

Hi April, You've had the car one day and expect a 1.5 engine to be a race car? It might be normal and I don't know what you expect or how long it takes to get up to hwy speeds. If you think it's an exhaust restriction the simple way is to just put a "T" and vacuum gauge on intake vacuum. At sea level should be about 18 and the same at 2,000 RPM without load - just race it for the test for a moment. If lower at 2,000 suggests an exhaust restriction. Hard to say as you've had the car one day and don't know what's normal and I can't tell what you are expecting if it runs properly otherwise, T
