Clunking when turning

Hi I have an 2000 Infiniti Q45 V8 157K . When I turn the wheel either to turn corners or simply change lanes, there is a clunking noise and squeeling in the front end. The squeel was attributed to the steering belt which has been tightened, but it still makes the noise. What else could be causing this?

is it only when wheels are fully locked to one side or the other? If so it could be steering stops.. to stop the noise lube them with grease. The noise on slight turns could be strut bearing seized, spring broken should check whole front end for damaged or loose components.
