So here it what happened: I'm planning on applying for my driver's licence soon, and my boyfriend took me earlier to drive around in a field. It was all good for a while, then when I stopped and put the car in neutral, I guess I pressed too hard on the clutch pedal. After I took my foot off, the clutch was still sitting low (like I would be stepping on it) but after 5 seconds or so it bumped back up. However, since that happened it hangs slightly lower than the break pedal (maybe 1 cm lower, can add a photo for reference if needed). Everything seems to work well otherwise, it's just that the pedal is 'uncomfortably' lower now. Is there something more to it? Will it slowly get worse? Also, I don't know if it is 'normal' or not, but you can also push the clutch pedal the other way around now - like, push it up. It's a Chevrolet Spark 2006.

There may be a spring under the dash designed to hold that up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
