Coolant coming out of overflow

1989 Chrysler New Yorker 3.0 automatic 119000mi. After my car is warmed up when I park it, it belches coolant out of recovery bottle. Put new thermostat in. When it started to do it used ir thermometer showed 185 at the left tank out of ideas HELP

What the heck does that mean? Are you measuring the temp of the reserve bottle? That wouldn't tell you anything. You need to know what the actual engine temp is on the engine side of the thermostat when this happens. Are the fans working properly? Have you tried a new cap?
