Creaking Noise on Cold Startup and Driving Sign In

2012 mazda3i, 2.0, 78k

Hi all. For about the last 8k miles my car has been making a creaking noise for about a second as it starts up. It also creaks as I accelerate (including going in reverse), and will continue doing so until the engine warms up a bit. When I start it warm it doesn't make any noise. How can I see if there are any problems? Could there be a problem with the engine/tranny mounts? Should I get it checked asap?

This doesn't seem like a horrible problem, but I want to make sure I fix it if it leads somewhere harmful to the engine or anything for that matter!

I also have a video of the sound and can send it to someone if they're interested via email if that'd allowed. Just email
Thank you all!!

I deleted your e-mail because you really don't want the spammers to get hold of it.

As for you noise, the motor mounts would be my #1 suspect but you need to know what to look for to inspect them. I suggest you let a professional listen to it and try to track it down.

? A 2012 with 78k on it? When was belt done last? Regular accessory belt I mean not any other. It's cold and doesn't like bending. They don't and new can't lay one out and make an even, round circle it's harder when on something tight.

By the book would say it should go for age/miles anyway already and still do that for a second or very short while if so but prove it as that's my guess. Take it off see if it quits totally for that initial start and quick into gear but don't allow time to warm up less then a minute if not there it's probably that. ALMOST ALL DO some noise that quits just KNOW that's it not something real to do right away,
