Exhaust Manifold 87 VW Cabriolet

I'm buying an 87 VW cabriolet for a really great price and the guy that I'm buying it from says that there is a small crack in the manifold. I've researched finding replacements online, but can't find anything. I asked him if its cast iron. He said "yeah, I'm pretty sure". Can I weld a small crack in it if that is the case?

You can but it will probably crack again.
