Finding oddball parts 2009 Toyota Venza Sign In

Looking for a shift lock override button/cover for a 2009 Toyota Venza. I guess they break really easily. Bought from a dealer today! Bad idea I guess. Miss this site. Its been a while.

Cindy: Is this a cover for an emergency unlock shifter that you bought or this routinely needed to shift out of a gear or park? If common enough for any reason save the box you just bought it in and san it yourself or with help it's available for dirt cheap no doubt on line for a Toyota anything. OF course you'll pay the top possible price at a dealer but at least they could get it at all!

Why was buying one from the dealer a bad idea?

Too much $$$$$$$$$$$$?

I wouldn't be surprised if they sold the whole shifter trim plate to get the cover. Maybe a u pull it would be a place to source one?

Not sure what the problem was. If pricey and common see this silly stuff in stock by NAPA and by HELP (an after market widget source by name) as places like Autozone, and other large "grocery store type auto parts outlets" just match it up.

NAPA on line is tough to use but worth the look.
Other is look for images of the part and many will lead to who sells it if pricey or just want that and not a whole assembly,

Sorry. Buying the entire car from a dealer with a piece missing out of it. That was the bad idea. Blush

Thanks for responding everyone. Its a simple plastic cover (Not the guts that are built in behind it) I haven't had any trouble with the shift locking so it might not even work. Think Ill go to a you-pull-it yard. Cb
