2000 Ford Focus wagon 2.0 4 cyl. manual trans. 200,000 km Hello, car runs fine while driving but when sitting and idling it starts running rough, hesitates and almost stalls. Does this when just started and after running for long periods. Probably would stall if I didn't give it a bit of gas. Idle control valve maybe? Thanks, Sheri

Autozone or Advance Auto Parts will read codes for free. Just get the code numbers and post them here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Okay, I have had someone read the codes and got the following: PO 136, PO 141, PO 171. All airflow related. I also found a nest in my engine comp. I removed that and took the air filter off and cleaned that out. There was some signs of nest material in the filter compartment as well. I will check my exhaust pipe as well. Could be something in there too. It is still running rough after cleaning air filter and re-setting codes. Thanks, Sheri

You have a problem with the circuit for the downstream 0/2 sensor and a lean condition that has to be found.
