Ford tune up, etc.

I have a '92 Ford Explorer. I am trying to change the spark plugs. I have not done this for awhile to any car. I removed the wire. I used a plug socket with ratchet and it is not coming off. I don't know if I have the socket all the way down over the plug. I think so. Anyway, the plugs are not coming off. Any suggestions? I also want to change the fuel filter. I looked undernearth the car and did not see where the filter is located. Can anyone give me advice? The guy at the parts store said underneath driver's seat area. I did not see it. Thanks

Not sure what you mean by the plugs are not coming off. If the socket is not all the way over the hex portion of the plug, you won't get them out. If you can't get the socket down over the hex portion, be sure the terminal in the spark plug boot didn't come off and is stuck on the top of the spark plug. fuel filter is underneath the vehicle on the driver's side along the frame rail. You need a special tool to remove the lines from the filter. Make sure you relieve the fuel pressure before you remove the lines. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
