Gas question

i have a 3.4 01 Impala and i just had a general question is there anything i can do to save more gas i change my filter every 3000 miles.

Fuel filter should be needed or help doing that, that often. Gas mileage or let's say "getting the most for your money" depends on lots of factors. #1 Tire pressure and driving habits. Fuel evaporates quickly. Keeping tank on the full side minimizes evaporation. I think that offsets the cost of carrying around the extra weight of it. Clear unecessary items out of the car - you are paying to transport that stuff - weight counts! Obvious things like combining errands and taking on a passenger as in carpooling. If possible choose times when traffic is light as sitting in a jam is nothing but a waste! T
