Head gasket?
Hello everyone! I have a 98 sunfire gt 2.4l hear that is overheating in - 4 weather in the madder of 5 minutes boiling coolant like crazy it has no wite smoke or discolorations in oil or coolant, pump is about 1 1/2 year old and brand new thermostat. If pump was malfunctioning would it boilover that fast or is this a head gasket.

Someone is going to have to do some testing to isolate the issue. ie, chemical test, pressure test, laser temp readings ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
