07 Toyota Camry 2.4 misfire problem 173k miles. Rebuilt at 155k miles.
I have a 07 Toyota Camry 2.4 that recently had a misfire. I used a code reader which informed me cylinder one had misfired and was in need of a spark plug replacement. I replaced all 4 spark plugs just to be uniform and while inspecting the plugs I noticed cylinder 1 had coolant inside the cylinder where the spark plug sits. The remaining cylinders had no coolant. I pumped approximately 2 ounces of coolant out of the cylinder number 1. This vehicle had the engine rebuilt and new radiator installed approximately 1 year ago and has vibrated excessively ever since then to the point I had to take it back to the mechanic who installed motor mounts and tranny mounts. The car ran with less vibration however it was still noticeable. Also noticed the passenger motor mount needed replacement again so I replaced it as well. My question is does this sound like a head gasket leak or intake manifold leak? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I also could hear water noises (slushing or moving by vaccum) behind the dash when turning the car on.

The noise is air flowing with coolant thru heater that you hear. Seems this "rebuild" just didn't work out vibrations, motor mounts more than once? You put up with that after that investment?
Somewhat you don't know for sure how coolant gets into that cylinder quite so easily but it does you proved that. The secondary problem is it might not hold specified coolant pressure has been overheating in a way boiling coolant without pressure to keep it liquid. That makes for super hot spots now no telling more about the failed rebuild.
To me if just me: Rebuilt engines do NOT mean new again especially if machined to different specs then set to that just isn't new but done all the time don't expect the life of a new engine but not this so early.
Smacks of some abuse or just not done so well or checked out enough.
What can you do if not even 20K since all this with the place that did it? Strong guess it needs some other engine to work on now not this one! Scary you spent the bucks and efforts just didn't work out,

Intake manifold? On a 4 cylinder engine?
How can that cause a coolant leak into the cylinder?

Probably cracked head now or? These engines just run like they aren't running when right and driven this far afterwards. Something doesn't add up,

My warranty ended this past September however I will still contact the mechanic shop to see what, if anything, they would be willing to do to resolve this issue. The car has never overheated since the rebuild and minus the vibration has ran fine. There's no white or blue smoke coming from.the exhaust yet. I'll have to wait and see what the shop says. Real bummer.

Agree - Real Bummer and hope they'll take care of you somehow. You just didn't see the white smoke if you found 2 OUNCES in a cylinder that's a LOT. Enough to lock engine and put a hole in a piston or weak link wherever. Not good at all.
You did complain of the vibration after this job IDK why then it wasn't honest with you it only felt better not gone? That's not near right at that time.
Good luck getting any satisfaction from the shop/techs. Come back if that's a huge fight perhaps we can take more info yet and suggest away what to do,

I hear ya, no white smoke whatsoever. I just found coolant leaking on my serpentine belt and pulleys as well. I'll see what the shop says tomorrow. Thank you for the assistance.

2 ounces of coolant in the cylinder and no white smoke? That's impossible.
Are you sure it was actually inside the cylinder. Finding it dripping on the belt would be a different problem entirely.
