I have a Ford Mondeo im unable to open me front bonnet, with usual inside pull leaver. Does anyone know is it possible to open from underneath the car, think the bonnet catch has seized up or jammed in someway.Ive tryed getting some wd40 in there but seems a impossible task. Any tips would be greatful as im due a long distance trip shortly and do need to check me water and oils.

Ok: generally speaking for this problem it's either the cable is broken or stretched which would allow you to pull lever to extreme and no action. If real floppy and broken you can usually get to the mechanism that the cable pulls on thru grille or from underneath with a very long screwdriver. They are not made to be easy - know that. If stretched or stuck from lack of lube it may still "pop" open if you have a helper push down or even like sit on hood heavyily (AYOR for denting) and it may pop the first stage again. If that works lube the heck out of it and even adjust or add a wire so if you try it again and it isn't plain fine you won't fight so hard to get back there to adjust or replace the whole thing if needed. Good luck, T
