Help, cannot open car Sign In

Hi, I really hope someone can steer me in the right direction as I'm on the edge of giving up. I am unable to open my 2005 focus mkII TDCI, essentially the drivers side keyhole was drilled out by some thieves a few months back and I was relying on the electronic keyfob for entry as my key no longer worked in the lock, however after a few months I have returned to the vehicle and it won't open. I have changed batteries in the key and charged the car battery using another car and jump leads.

I called a garage , he tried to open using the air cushion but he said it was impossible.

So what's next ? Any ideas ? Is there a secret way in ?

Thanks for any help

No secrets just ideas: Since air cushion didn't work I hope you know if it doesn't have a passenger's door lock that will take a physical key not the fob or some (can't know all features) trunk or hatch by key if fob no good you can get thru. Yikes - hope they have a keyed lock for that! Suks getting rid of real keys when stuff happens.

Best reason to gain entry without more harm is so you can fix the drilled mess and any damage with door open, panel off from inside manually if that works?

Next if no luck: Locksmith. Ask if they do vehicles and state that a theft was attempted and fob doesn't work,

Re: Help, cannot open car Sign In

Are you in a motor club? There are kits that will get into almost anything - some time maybe to do without damage.

Try to avoid breaking a window to gain entry. Some look small and easy to replace but aren't so if that's what you get down to call a glass place and ask which is easy and cheapest.
Another possible source would be an auto body repair place that either would made a road call or tow it to them and fix it too while it's there. You nor I can tell if drilling caused damage that ruined some body parts they should be very good at?

One last smidge of chance: Any chance you are using the wrong key fob now? Another similar vehicle you might mix them up? That happens too.

Good luck - there will be a way,

If the key has been drilled out, you may be able to go in with a small screwdriver and unlock the door.

OMG - right - it might have already succeeded! If not put finishing the drilling on the list. You should want a new lock cylinder that works properly anyway with a key,
