I bought a hyundai about a year ago, and went to get my tires rotated recently. Well the service man came back and said they broke one of the lugs because they didn't have a 7 splined key? They ended up replacing the broken ones with 6 splined lugs, but now i'm stuck because they didn't want to take the rest off. So i'm looking for a key that works for these lugs, can anyone help or direct me where to buy what I need? The lug says M12 X 1.5RH/T if that helps, thanks guys!

Have you tried asking at a hyundai service center? This is your best bet.

Yes I took it there, they said they were after-market tired and they didn't have the key to take them off. In fact, they were the one's who broke one of them trying to take it off.

Is this a lug nut that is for anti-theft? If they break off the stud can be replaced in almost all cases and an new non locking lug nut used. There are kits to defeat locking lug nuts but it still shouldn't break off. Tire shops should be able to deal with this as they deal with lost key things for this quite a bit, T

Ok I had to ask some guys at work, but it's the locking lugs, and yes what I need is a key apparently. I have to look online for one because so far none of the tire places around here have a 7 splined key. I'm also not sure if they're all the same or are sized differently

It is no doubt just a lug nut that is altered so standard tools won't remove it. Just have them taken off as there are tools to get them off and put ones on it that belong with the car. The threaded stud would be standard for the car still - this is just a way to make it hard for theives to get your wheels off. Ask a good theif - they'll have them off faster than you can blink. That little trick with the lug nuts only stops the amatures who are in a hurry to take your wheels, T
